The TEACHnow Program thru Moreland University is a great opportunity for Teachers to pursue their teaching certification. The Edpuzzle about Moreland University and the platform guided me to understand better on how to navigate the platform. Also, the activity I completed in the previous assignment can be a valuable guide as you progress through this program in many ways. Edpuzzle is a platform that allows students to watch educational videos while answering questions and interacting with the content. Completing the Edpuzzle not only helps reinforce the concepts presented in the video, but also helps me track my understanding of the subject. Here are some ways that Edpuzzle can guide me as I progress through this program.
First, Edpuzzle gives instant feedback on how I understand the video. By answering the questions throughout the video, I can assess how well I understood the information presented. If I find it difficult to answer certain questions correctly, this is a sign that I may need to review the topic and do more research. This valuable feedback guides me to identify areas that need additional attention and helps me direct my efforts accordingly.
Second, Edpuzzle offers the option to replay the video and review specific parts if needed. Sometimes certain concepts may not be fully understood on the first viewing. Edpuzzle allows me to go back and re-watch certain parts of the video to help better understand and fill in gaps in knowledge. By using this feature, I can make sure I have a good understanding of the content before moving on to the next lessons.
Finally, as I progress through this program, completing Edpuzzles will be a tangible record of my learning journey. By going back to previous EdPuzzles I can track my growth, track my progress and reflect on my achievements. The Edpuzzle completed in the previous task will be an important guide in the progress of this program. Not only does it provide instant feedback on my understanding, but it also allows me to review and reinforce concepts. Edpuzzle promotes independent learning and offers opportunities for collaboration and discussion.. As a result, using Edpuzzle will definitely support and guide me in this program.
2. How can the information you discovered in the Course Catalog and Candidate Handbook guide you as you progress through this program?
The Course Catalog and Candidate Handbook is like a search engine if you need guidance throughout the program. I discovered in this catalog and handbook all the information I need from Moreland University to getting a Master’s degree offered by the University. This will help me become equipped in taking all the modules and prepare myself to get the teaching certificate in Florida.
As a teacher starting a new educational journey, it is important to take advantage of all available resources that can make the program successful. The Course Catalog and Candidate Handbook are two valuable sources of information that can guide me throughout my academic career. Because of the amount of information provided in these resources, they can serve as a compass for selecting appropriate courses, understanding program requirements, and ensuring smooth program progression.
The Course Catalog is a comprehensive guide to the courses offered within the program and includes a detailed description of each course and required requirements.
In addition, the Candidate Handbook also serves as a guide to program requirements, policies and procedures. It details the number of credits required, the breakdown of courses and any additional requirements such as internships or research projects. By thoroughly reading the handbook,I will have a clear understanding of the expectations and milestones I must meet to successfully complete the program.
In conclusion, the Course Catalog and Candidate Handbook are important resources that can guide me as I progress through my academic program. By using the information in these resources, I can successfully complete this certification program.
3. How can the InTASC Standards and Clinical Rubric guide you as you progress through this program?
Adler (1982) argued that education is a lifelong process of which teaching is only a small but necessary part. The ultimate goal of the educational process is to help people become educated people. Training is a preparatory stage; it forms a way of learning and provides the means to continue learning after all instruction is completed.
The Interstate Teacher Assessment and Support Consortium (InTASC) standards and clinical rubric are important guides for my academic and professional growth throughout this program. I’m currently teaching in 1st grade and I have a diverse students. Most of them are ELL and I can benefit in following these standards and clinical rubrics because it hits the diversity of my students, their needs and how they learn individually. These standards and rubrics provide a framework that aligns with current best practices in educational research and teaching. They provide a comprehensive set of guidelines that will undoubtedly shape my development as an effective educator.
First, the InTASC standards are the roadmap for this program. They identify ten key competencies that are essential for effective teaching. These standards cover a wide range of skills, including knowledge of learner and learning development, content, instructional practices and professional responsibilities to promote student learning. By becoming familiar with these standards, I am better prepared to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to be a successful teacher.
Additionally, the clinical rubric is an invaluable tool for self-reflection and growth. It provides a detailed description of each standard at four different performance levels, from Novice to Exemplary. With this rubric, I can assess my progress and identify areas for improvement. Through regular self-evaluation, I can use the rubric to measure my strengths and weaknesses and prepare an action plan to develop my skills in areas that need further development. This is also aligned with the evaluation system we used in school as part of professional development and to become better educators.
Finally, the InTASC standards and clinical rubric provide guidance that transcends the boundaries of this program. As I progress in my career as an educator, these standards and rubrics continue to be the cornerstone of my professional development. They provide a framework that guides me as I face new challenges and enables me to continually strive for excellence in my teaching practices. In conclusion, the InTASC standards and clinical rubric are important guides throughout the program and beyond. By following these guidelines, I will gain the necessary skills and knowledge to be an effective coach. The standards and rubrics encourage self-reflection, collaboration, and research-based practices, all of which are prerequisites for academic growth and success.
